

BRUNO BERNARD (Bernard of Hollywood)
Bruno Bernard, known professionally as 'Bernard of Hollywood' was perhaps THE glamour photographer of Hollywood's Golden Era.
He was called, among other things, the King of Glamour Photography, The Vargas of Photography and of course, the Discoverer of Marilyn Monroe.
His works range from the pin up girl to the glamour queen, from Lili St. Cyr, the burlesque dancer he saw as his muse, to Marilyn Monroe, the pin up goddess he discovered in the 40's.
In 1984, he was honored by the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, for his portraits of such legends as Clark Gable, John Wayne, Gregory Peck, Elizabeth Taylor, Ginger Rogers, Marilyn Monroe, etc.
In addition to his photography, he published six books before his death in 1987.
